TLAG established its roots in 1997 as Mattioda Associates - a firm conceived by founders Rob Mattioda, John Moffett, and Rich Ehrlich when they were working together in lead roles at a major Life Insurance carrier. Over the course of just a few years, Mattioda Associates grew to over 80 Insurance and IT experts.
In 2000, the company was acquired by Sherwood International, a global software vendor and services company. The partners remained with Sherwood International, serving as senior members of the management team until 2002, when they left Sherwood and reincorporated as The Life & Annuity Group (TLAG).
Through the evolution of TLAG, our team of highly skilled consultants has seen the Insurance/IT business from all sides: Insurance carrier, Global software vendor, BPO/TPA, and specialized consulting firm. Our well-rounded corporate background led to the development of the TLAG Methodology which has become the foundation of our services.
